Robotic Dentistry is the use of computer aided robotics in the use of dentistry. One of the ways we do this is with Cerec technology, a computer aids two robotic arms to make precision, metal free, and durable ceramic teeth (fillings, crowns, and veneers) in a single visit.

How is a Cerec tooth made?
After examining the tooth and determining the course of treatment, we will prepare your tooth for restoration, similarly to traditional treatment methods. We will then take a model of your prepared tooth. Cerec then uses a state-of-the-art digital 3D camera to create an optical impression.
Next we use a computer software to design every precise detail of your restoration with the precision you've come to expect from us. The software allows us to customize the shape of the restoration to exactly fit your specific clinical needs.
Finally the exact design specifications are sent to our on-site robotic milling machine to create your restoration while you wait. About 20 minutes later, your all ceramic, color-matched restoration is ready for placement. Your new restoration is then fitted, polished and bonded for permanence. Your tooth is restored back to its natural form, function, and beauty. (Information derived from Cerec promotional material, Sirona Dental Systems)
